Privacy Policy

Treat people’s data like you’d want yours treated.

Kinktelier is a directory of kink-friendly spaces. We try to keep things simple and discreet — both in what we show on the site and in what we collect behind the scenes.

What we collect

When you visit kinktelier.com, our hosting provider (Vercel) records standard server information: your IP address, browser type, the page you requested, the referring page, and the timestamp. This is the same minimal information any website logs.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the site is used — how many people visit, which pages they read, and where they came from. Vercel Analytics is cookieless and does not store personal identifiers. We see aggregate trends, not individuals.

We use Vercel Speed Insights to measure how fast pages load (Core Web Vitals). No personal data is collected — only performance metrics.

That’s it. We don’t run Google Analytics. We don’t run Facebook pixels. We don’t run ad networks. We don’t run session recordings or heatmaps.

What we don’t collect

  • We don’t ask you to create an account. There is nothing to sign up for.
  • We don’t ask for your email, name, or any personal information to browse the site.
  • We don’t use tracking cookies. We don’t set any cookies that follow you across the web.
  • We don’t sell, rent, share, or trade data with third parties for marketing or advertising.
  • We don’t profile you. We don’t build a behavioral picture of who you are.

When you contact us

If you email us at hello@kinktelier.com or andy@kinktelier.com, we keep that correspondence so we can reply to you. We don’t share it with anyone, and we don’t use it for anything other than answering your message.

Cookies

The site uses one technical cookie used to remember whether you’ve dismissed the soft-launch banner. That’s the only cookie we set, and it stays on your device — we don’t read it back from our servers.

Studios listed on Kinktelier

Studios listed on Kinktelier are added with the studio’s explicit consent. We write draft descriptions based on publicly available information (their website, social media), send the draft to the studio for review, and only publish after they approve it. If you are a studio owner and want your listing changed or removed, email hello@kinktelier.com and we’ll take care of it within a few days.

If you see a listing marked as a “sample listing,” it means the studio has not yet confirmed and the page is shown to demonstrate how the directory works. Sample listings are clearly labeled.

Where data is stored

The site runs on Vercel (US, EU edge nodes) and Supabase (EU region). Both providers have their own privacy practices we rely on. Backups are encrypted.

Server logs and analytics data are retained for a maximum of 30 days, then permanently deleted.

How to opt out of analytics

If you don’t want Vercel Analytics to count your visit, open your browser’s developer console on kinktelier.com and run:

localStorage.setItem("kinktelier_no_track", "1")

Then reload the page. We won’t track your visits in this browser anymore. To re-enable, run localStorage.removeItem("kinktelier_no_track").

(Standard browser content blockers like uBlock Origin or AdGuard also work — feel free to use whatever you prefer.)

Your rights under GDPR

If you’re in the EU, you have the right to know what data we hold about you, to request deletion, and to file a complaint with a data protection authority. Because we don’t collect personal data from visitors browsing the site, there’s usually nothing to request. If you’ve emailed us, you can ask us to delete that correspondence at any time by writing to privacy@kinktelier.com.

Children

Kinktelier is for adults. The directory itself is informational and doesn’t contain explicit content, but it does deal with adult topics and links to adult-oriented venues. If you are under 18, please don’t use the site.

Changes to this policy

If we change how data is handled, we’ll update this page. There’s no version history yet — it’s the first version.
